Hi. I have been an autocad user for years. I already own a 2012 and 2014 autocad licence for my office. I want to buy a hp laptop, which i will take with me on holidays so that i can stay in touch with my job. I have no special requirements for my laptop. I am not going to use it for 3d models, or insert images etc. I simply want to be able to open and work on some basic autocad projects, nothing special at all. Iam thinking of buying this model. Will this laptop be able to run the autocad program? Or it will not even open it?

You'll want to increase the RAM to 8Gb at least.
OS -- can you get this with Win7? win8.1 may have issues with the older CAD versions
BIOS -- almost certainly this has Intel grahics as well -- will the BIOS let you disable that and force the Radeon only? seems like Acad has issues with some machines changing over to the better graphics board and the reliable cure is to disable the Intel onboard chiposet in BIOS
So i guess i shouldn't buy this laptop. That's a pity, cause i can't afford more money and i needed a laptop for outside the office.
Thank you so so much!!!!!
Check out leasing options. They can have some accounting advantages.
