Do you want a linetype with the symbol, or just the symbol in text?

It's not available with standard fonts for autocad. I use a block that I made, which I can insert into a blank space in dtext or on the centerline of a column or circular object. At one time, many years ago, it was possible to use third party fonts, but no longer.

In Mtext command select the @ symbol which drops down a menu.  Select center line.  Is this what you're looking for?

I have this issue too on some users systems in our office. It is a weird thing...

On most machines it works the way it is supposed to. We just use stadard AutoCAD fonts, mainly simplex and it works, but on some machines we open the same file where it worked and and it is a different font, ISOsomthing and we cant change it, but when we go back to the original machine it work

Where does AutoCAD pul the symbols? is it the font folder? or some font or character map?

Thanks in advance,

Randy

Type in FONTALT on the PC that doesn't show the symbol, what font does it say?

all PC come back with "simplex.shx"

I will also add, this only happens when we are using Civil 3D, when we open the files with vanilla autocad the centerline symbole comes out correct and the support paths are all the same

I think it might be a file issue or starting template issue, its just really weird and annoying.

Thanks for the help, I will troubleshoot a little more tonight after work and try to figure something out, maybe post some files tomorrow

check the dates of the simplex.shx that's being found and used on the dirrerent machines.  delete ALL the older ones, and copy in a fresh version from the install CD.  You're getting the ISO-font for the symbols because the version of the autocad shx file is an archaic version that does not have unicode characters.
