While it's still very early, so far it looks like Autodesk is making a
big mistake.

that's what you get for using the web side ;-P The link took me to the
following which was actually Terry Dotson's post. Don't know why it
doesn't work for you. Point is that links to threads/posts can be
included in newsreader posts.

I'm using a newsreader Dave. My original comment was in regard to being able
to paste web forum thread links to the forums, which we can't do with
newreaders. Can you open your link in your newsreader?

I should clarify, Newsreaders don't have a means of extracting and pasting a
link from one thread to another. Of course, we can open a web forum and
paste links to from.

I would prefer the web if they would use a standard forum similar to almost any other site with auto-login and faster everything. In other words, the web would be fine but this implementation is the worst I've seen in recent history.

Maybe I'm not up-to-date but using a newsreader after a modern web-based forum is like trying to do word processing in Notepad. You'd think they would update the standard after 30 years :smileyhappy:

When I click your link in Thunderbird the *entire* thread from Civil3D
appears in my browser.
