How do I turn off annotative dimensions and change them to normal ones?

My boss nearly tore shreds into me over this. Somehow, between my computer and his, my annotative dims are not showing up on his computer but they are on mine.He wasn't in the office and using his laptop from site, so he just thinks I am being idiotic and not doing my work.

I don't even know how the things work and I am really not interested! I just want to know how to permanently switch back to normal, non annotative dimensioning and how do I change annotative dims to normal dims?

Please can someone help me before I end up unemployed

Annotative objects do NOT show up if they do not contain the current VP scale _AND_ if ANNOALLVISIBLE is turned OFF.

It sounds like you have ANNOALLVISIBLE set to 1, and your boss does not.

That does not mean either one of you are wrong, you just both need to understand how annotative objects work and why they may or may not show in a given situation.

We have a new guy in the office that despite being the new guy is shoving his

Dimensioning styles from his last job down our thoats.

Despite being the new guy and the rest of us being here between 15 and 25 year he does not care so what I

Do is to use “layer isolate” to just get the dimension on the screen alone.

Then window everything and go to “properties”

You can then go thru that list and turn off the “Annotative” drop down to “NO”

Probably better ways to do it but it's get me by without "losing it"

@tom Boss or Supervisor or CAD manager needs to step in to solve your internal power struggles 😐

As @pendean says, this is a management problem, not a CAD problem

Good luck and Happy Friday!

Can you re-read that and then re-word it so that it makes sense? I'm not sure what you're saying.
