find GPS location info in Autocad

I've got a site plan for a civil construction project. Now I only have two points with GPS location, the format is " E322xxx.xxx, 583xxxx.xxx". Is there a way for me to just based on the linear dimsion in Autocad, and to work out the GPS location in the same format of more other points on the site plan?

Many thanks for your help.

just position the data in AutoCAD using those 2 coordinates then you can querry the rest of the data and get similar coordinate information

Can you post a file demonstrating this technique?

if you have 2 setting out points you just need to do the following:

select all data

initiate move command

snap to the first setting out point

key in the coordinates of that setting out point.

querry the location of the second setting out point.

if it reports back the coordinates you have been given all is good

if not you will need to rotate the data.

draw a line from setting out point 1 to setting out point 2 (the current location of setting out point 2)

draw another line from setting out point 1 to the correct setting out point 2 (the true coordinates)

use the rotate command to rotate the data into position using either an angle or 3 points

this is how we have always done it and works fine

Hi

You can do it also in this way:

*First, be sure that UCS on (world).

*If you brought your drawing to another drawing, try to be sure that they have the same units *(m, mm, feet…etc)

*Then select all the drawing.

*Type in command line: align, you will be asked to choose the first point. choose one of the    known points. the destination is to the true coordinate of this point.

*Do the same with the second point.

*You will be asked if you want to scale the drawing. enter (Y).

Now you get your drawing on coordinates and you can get the info about any point.

That assumes that the GPS coordinates are UTM or state plane (or similar). The coordinates on mine are Lat-Long and require a converter to UTM.
