My problem: zoom in/out glitching, cursor movement glitching. Tried everything, nothing. Finally, I actually TURNED ON hardware acceleration. That did it.
I am also having slow performance.
I am running Win7 64bit and AutoCad 2012 64 bit
Why am I getting slow performance when doing a city block with all of this power? Is this good for just modeling a car or something?
I am having similar "issues" with 2012 on Win 7, 64 bit.
Turning off aero actually messed up ACAD! Moving or copying objects became a nightmare.
I see many issues are a combination of Win7, 64 bit, GPU's and an obsession with new "features" vs performance.
I agree that Autodesk needs to "clean up" the software.
I just loaded 2012 on a new T1600 with Nvidea Quatro 2000 video card and I too get the "not responding" message. It will often hang up for 10 seconds or more. This is normally when I am working in 3D and it does not have to be a large drawing. It can happen when I begin a drawing. I had the same problem with 2010. It has been a pain for over two years. I wish someone could find the answer.
I just wonder how big your drawing are? My 3D drawings are usually up to 60 MB and about 2 000 elements I use realistic visual style and I don't see any delays but on drawings above 40 MB I set adaptive degradation on.
Quad core i7 2.8g with 12 gig's ram quadro fx 1800 with duel solid state drives
my file sizes are 2 to 3 megs and I get alot of lag rotating drawings. I cannot imagine what it would be like with a 10 meg file.
it lags with 3d wireframe let alone realistic.
I have similar computer spec i7 980X @4.0, 12 gigs ram, revo drive, quadro fx 3800, and windows 7 64 bit prof. and I set windows for max. perfomance. Did you try set dispsilh to 0 and facetres to 0.1?
