Dynamic title block variable height and width

Hello,

Attached is a dynamic title block with various width which I created based on the you tube video. The problems that I have with the video is the following:

  1. When doing a test block and typing a number the distance never changes.
  2. When saving the file and going back in to the file when selecting the title block I don’t get the block edit.
  3. The video say that I should be able to modify the x,y directions but it does not work.

Title block problems

  1. Can’t align the graphic file inside the box
  2. On the bottom of the page it say project I would like to edit this with the word Date with the same and style.
  3. Text attributes don’t work. Below the graphic file I would like a title attribute below that I would like address attribute below that I would like a contact attribute where you can place you name and telephone number etc. Where the word Kitchen remodeling I would like a title attribute.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm going to be honest with you. This titleblock is pretty much useless!!

The heavy lines are hatches and not Polylines, etc.
All of the titleblock text isnt text anymore, its been exploded.

The text attributes don't work because they are not attributes, they are plain text.

To add attributes, use the ATTDEF command

To align the attributes, use the MOVE command, or TEXTALIGN command

To have the graphic it inside the box, use the scale command

To be able to edit this as a block you need to define it as a block first.

To be able to modify the x and y directions you will need to add dynamic action to the block definition.

And do not use hatches to draw borders and lins in your title block, use polylines as suggested in previous response.

How old was the source file?
Or was/is this titleblock from another program that was exported as a DWG file? That's a very huge file for a titleblock, drawn by object types that will only slow down your AutoCAD experience (like you need that to be any worse).
