DWG File will not open in IE 8

Okay, quick back ground - Windows 7 64 Bit - Autocad 2010 installed - IE 8 32 / 64bit - Lotus Notes 8.5

Our DWG files are stored in a shared folder, and we use a Lotus Notes DataBase to browse for drawings as you can put information with the DB Entry.

When you click Open drawing IE 8 pops up but the window is blank. PDF's open fine in IE 8.

Any suggestions as to why the dwg drawings are blank?

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Are you asking why is the Drawing file empty when opened in AutoCAD or why there is no static representation of your drawing file (i.e. a Picture) in the third party software?

Sorry, you can open the dwg drawing in the dwg viewer and it shows the drawing, in IE 8 you just get a blank white window.

A new problem? Did you change something on the system?

All of the programs are from the same era? AutoCAD 2010, IE 8, and Notes 8.5?

As far as I am aware, nothing has changed, were all installed at roughly the same time, and has worked before in the past and works on other work stations in the company with the same and / or similar set ups.

Is there an IE Add-on that is missing? Or a setting in IE?

This problem should be brought up with your own IT team.  It might be as simple as the DWG version, but it isn't anything on the AutoCAD or DWG side of things.  Its with the viewer set-up your company is using.

I am part of the IT Team, and have run out of ideas - hence why I am here.

As far as I can see everything should be working fine. I will run through everything again to check though.

How about an MS update? Anything there get changed to make your life fun?

Try a System Restore back a month or two ago?
