Autocad 2012 user.
I've recently been having issues with my linetypes. At times some linetypes seem to disapear for no reason. When I try to insert them again through linetype manager, I get this message: Bad definition of (one of 5 linetypes) at line (114 or other) of file (path to ACAD.lin).
Any thoughts how to fix?
Below is the ongoing problem I get, where some linetypes are not recognized and keep disapearing, sometimes after exiting the program and reopening, it fixes itself; other times I have to replace the acad.lin file. It's getting very annoying. Anyone have a fix for this.
Sam
Is the path to the acad.lin file always the same (as shown in the screenshot)?
"...other times I have to replace the acad.lin file"
Before you replace it, do you examine it to see what (if anything) is wrong at the line(s) indicated?
When you replace it, what do you replace it with?
Are you able to determine that the file is somehow changed (file size, date, etc.) when the error occurs?
Can you attach a copy of each (a "good" and a "bad") acad.lin file?
where some linetypes are not recognized and keep disapearing,
Attach, let's see your drawing, got to be one that someone else started and it's Not plain autocad.
(I can see it from your snap shot)
