Dimensions - A$0

Hi All -

I set up a new dimension style.  Whenever I place a dimension it isnt respecting its properties and changes the Dim Style properties of that dimension to A$0.  Any insight?

Thanks!

The "$0" (or "$anything") after a dimstyle name indicates a "child" dimstyle.  These are created automatically for particular types of dimensions that require slight, individual variations from the "Parent" dimstyle, such as angular dims or radius/diameter dims (for example; to see others appear in your dimstyles list, create a few other types of dimensions).

These are steps:

1. Go to Dimstyle Manager and delete STANDARD dimstyle. Then if needed do purging

2. If you are using AutoCAD Mechanical, go to option and AM:Standard, change Scale and Dimensions options there.

3. Other way to change Scale is from command line AMSYMS and set your scale.

Hope ths will eliminate the $0 trouble

Also for AutoCAD Mechanical, you need to define scale area AMSCAREA to let the dimensions follow the scale (length wise or size wise) in the area defined
