Deleting...

I just downloaded AutoCAD 2012 on my imac running on my Parallels system, meaning I have the Windows version or AutoCAD 2012 running on parallels. (Because there are too many problems with AutoCAD for mac).

There is one problem however, I cannot delete by using 'backspace' on my mac keyboard. I always have to right click the selected object and go to erase. Does there exist a keyboard shortcut for erase? Am I not seeing something stupidly obvious to this solution??

Hi,

do the Mac-Keyboards don't have a <DEL> key? If so select the object and then press <DEL>.

Don't you have any shortcuts like "E" for erase?

In other words just hit "E" then <return> then pick what you want to delete.

Additionally, on Mac keyboards which only have the Backspace key, you can make it work like a normal Delete key by pressing the Fn (function) key along with Backspace.

rest your phone on the 'fn' key and use backspace. low tech but effective.
