Somebody told me a long time ago there was a conversion program that would convert TIF files to AutoCAD Drawings?

Is there such software?

Hmmm, not aware of any GOOD ones.

I've seen and tried several but they all have serious flaws.

Quality, quality and quality.

It really depends what you want.

If you want just an image that is not really an image, PDF to CAD is slightly passable.

I suggest to have a look at AutoCAD Raster Design.

Try Scan2Cad

http://www.scan2cad.com/index.htm

I have been using it for a couple of years and while not perfect does cut tracing time by 1/2.
