Convert a straight gear teeth into round.

Hi guys,

I got dimension of a straight gear like racks gear, how can I convert it into round want like gear.

Any tools in Autodesk inventor or Autocad that availble for us to convert it?..Or can I convert it by calculation or something?

Please help me.

I assume you mean you want a circular gear which will roll over the straight gear?

If so, it will be the same distance for the circumference of the circle as the straight length you already have.

The calculation for the circumference of a circle is πd where π is approximately 3.14 and d is the diameter of the circle (or your straight length)
