command bar not full width

Hi everyone.

why is my command-bar limited to just 80 characters, when by the looks of it, it could easily fit 200 characters in before having to use a second line of text?

I often want to copy the filepath of the current .dwg and paste it into explorer, but it only pastes the first line of text!

Hi,

ab 2013 hättest Du es so lange wie der Befehlszeilenbereich es zulässt, ... dann aber auch mit anderen Unannehmlichkeiten (dass beim Umschalten mit <F2> auf die "große" Version des Befehlsfensters dieses breitgemacht werden muss, sonst sieht man nicht alles und horizontale Scrollbar gibt's auch nicht).

Thanks for the response. So is upgrading to the 2013-version the only "solution" to this problem?

or does someone know a way to get around it for Acad 2012?

Problem like you see or not, it is "as designed" ... since AutoCAD started with DOS as DOS had the limit with 80 characters per line.

And it was not changed in AutoCAD up to release 2012. Release 2013 is the first one that can show more than 80 chars.
