Hello,

i received a drawing with Mtext notes has a different color from the layer they belong...the user change the Mtext note color from the Mtext editor .

Is there a way to change the color for these Mtext notes to bylayer color globally and with one command?

Thanks alot...

I would Qselect>Object Type=Mtext>Operator=Select All>OK then in the Properties Palette set Color to By Layer. Can't script it due to the due to the Qselect dialog box. As quick as that is I would have to do be doing it an awful lot to put in the time to create a LISP. If the text color has been changed inside the editor you will need a LISP like StripMtext: http://cadabyss.wordpress.com/2007/04/01/stripmtext-v309/

There is a free lisp routine floating around here called stripmtext, might
be what you seek. Try the search feature or Google.

Here is a quick macro... Do some testing and edit as needed!
^C^C_.chprop (ssget "X" '((0 . "MTEXT")));;C;bylayer;;

this did not work.  I have to double-click on the mtext, select the text and then change the color in the drop-down menu.

I have to say that lisp routine is a lifesaver!:smileyhappy:
