Can't remove 'Legend' font style or table style ?!?

I have run across a very annoying issue that has stumped me.

There is a font and table style called "Legend" that is automatically generating and can not be purged.

I have looked through all the start up files, all the lisp files and can't find anything that would be creating them!

They appear in any file I open, new or old and even if I open a template file.

I have attached a file that should be empty but you will (or should) see both a font and table style called "Legend".

Anyone have any suggestions?

(FYI I am running AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 as AutoCAD 2010)

Thanks,
Andrew

I opened your file and was able to purge the tablestyle. After purging the
tablestyle I was able to purge the textstyle. I did nothing more than open
the file (AutoCAD 2010)

Because the Civil3D is build on top of Map3D and those styles are required
for the legend tools to work, that it is build into the "new" command of the
program would be my guess. Even opening a Vanilla AutoCAD dwt in C3D/Map3D
will add them. (and not let you delete them)

Ran into the same problem.  Client wanted all unused items purged from drawing. Could not purge table style "Legend" and text style "Legend"

Solution

Use "rename " command and rename table style "legend" to another name (anything).  It can then be purged and the text style "legend" as well.

Found this on another site posed by someone named "aewatson" 8th Jun 2011, 12:54 am

Here is how you can delete both the 'Legend' table style and textstyle:

    - Type TABLESTYLE
    - Right-click and rename 'Legend' to something else.
    - Close the dialog box.
    - Retype TABLESTYLE
    - Delete the renamed table style
    - Delete the text style (now that it is no longer referenced)

This worked for me.
