bill of material (steel) is it possible to dont make it manually?

Hello,

I have a question. I have to make many beams in autocad LT, and there is a issue.

I throw from drawing reinforcement like (picture), and sometimes there is many many reincofrecements....

Is it possible to make something to do only copy and paste (length, quantity, diameter) to excel and make very fast bill of steel (the excel formula is ready)?

I heard something about attributes, but there is only one way (without any adds and in version LT)?

Thanks for replay

Best regards

Quick answer is NO there isn't a built in feature for this, creating attributed blocks would definately be the way to go in the future, you could select all the items and use the list command, copy the contents from the command line history into excel and use the filter in excel to get the basic information (it's quick but not simple). How you do that depends on the type of objects they are which can't be seen from a screen shot.

In attachment i added one of the simplest beam....

Is it possible to use attributes on that kind of drawings?

Thanks for replay,

Best regards
