Help.

In a situation were I have been asked to convert all our dwg file to pdf for access by other employees.

Talking several thousand drawing... considering doing them in batches of say 100 at a time.

Can anyone offer some guidance / words of wisdom?

import all the drawings into a sheet set.

create some sub sets (100 drawings per sub set for example)

open the sheet set on multiple computers one friday evening before you go to the pub and publish a sub set or two from each computer using Publish using page setup overrides.

alternatively you could create a number of sheet sets i.e. 1 sheet set per 100 drawings.

in theory you could also publish the entire lot in one go from one machine via the sheet set....but splitting it as you suggest will limit problems

id guess monday morning your server might be full, thousands of drawings, et even 1 layout each is a ton of storage space. make sure your settings arent creating files any more accurate/large than you'll need. just a thought
