Autodesk Inventor Series 11 - changing from Network back to standalone - XP

Hello,

 

I am having an issue that I hope someone here can help me with.  I have a couple of floating licenses for an old inventor series 11 product.  The license server is down and I need to change these licenses back to standalone licenses.  Does anyone know how I would do that?  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as standalone but it will not let me activate the software with the serial numbers on the back of the packaging.  Am I missing something?

Yes.  Licenses are issued as either network or standalone, regardless of how you install.  You can have AutoDesk convert the license type, but there is a fee and it isn't something to be doing on a week-to-week basis.  Better bet would be to fix your license server.

 

By the by, you are in the AutoCAD board (look at the top of the page), not an Inventor one.  Further, I would suggest the installation and licensing forum would be the best place to get assistance:
