AutoCAD Warning at Startup

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this warning dialog:

AutoCAD Warning.png

IIt appears at startup.  I recently installed software (Simtra PathPlanner) that works with AutoCAD that may have caused this.

Using AutoCAD 2012 on Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks,

Dave.

The error message is referring to an invalid LNK link file in that folder: remove it yet?

If that's a valid folder look in the options under support paths and see it it's listed (check for proper name/spelling etc.)

If it's not a folder you use then look in the open dialog box and see if it was added on the favorite bar and remove it.

Thanks, Murph, but it is a valid folder, and contains my QNEW template.  When I dismiss this dialog the proper template file opens and life goes on as normal.  After that everything works as normal.  The warning only shows up when AutoCAD is first started.

hi Dave

Judge your screensnap,  you are using a shortcut.  could you please check the target folder of the shortcut ?  is this folder existing or inclued any dwt file?

could you please upload your   screensnap for

  • template settings in options
  • file lists of the target folder

See my previous message in this thread.

Once the dialog is dismissed everything performs as normal.  The QNEW dwt is found and everything works.

I'm still looking for a method to clear this warning.

Dave.

Thanks Dean and RK!  It was just as simple as removing the .lnk file from the template directory.  I'm not sure why that didn't sink in on me right away... I suppose I just naturally thought it was more complicated somehow.

All is well again!

Dave.
