autocad to rhino (or at least 3d)

hi there

 

we use both autocad and rhino (v4 / sr8 with vray)

 

we have just upgraded to autocad architecture 2011 and i cant find a way to import autocad 3d model into rhino . the dwg imports results an empty document, there is no more 3ds out from acad, there is no fbx import to rhino ... can someone please help me ?

Try exporting as ACIS (*.sat). (I don't think the ACISOUT command will work on ACA objects - you have to go through the menu or explode once and then ACISOUT).

 

In your thread title you state AutoCAD but in your problem description you state  ACA.  You might try over here http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Architecture/ct-p/56  where there might be someone who can better answer your question.
