Somehow unfortunately my AutoCAD Map 3d 2013 isn't able to read World-files (tfw) from georeferenced tiff Raster-file. Do someone know the system variable to control which data file are readable for reference files of georasterdata?
When I try to insert the image on an other Computer there is no Problem, also there hadN#t been any problems on my computer last week..
perhaps the last hang up made more sytemvariable to "0" and not only filedia and measurement..
Thank for Ideas
Possibly try a Repair of your Map3d install, AFAIK there are not settings that would affect the ability to work with tfw files.
Silly question time: is the TFW in the same folder as the TIFF?
You use "mapiinsert" command in AutoCAD Map and the World file (georeference) of the Raster file is ignored.
AutoCAD Map 3D 2013/2014 didn't read the world file if the path to folder is longer than 128 Characters.
This issue is due to a known issue that is currently under investigation by our development team.
The possible workaround is to use shorter path whith less than 128 Character.
If AutoCAD Raster Design is intalled the limitation of 128 Characters in "mapiinsert" command disappear.
Hello Brigitte
- Please could you confirm the problem with MAP 2013 (+ SP2.1) and MAP 2014 (+SP 1) ?
- On ANY Windows ?
- Is it specific to TIF+TFW and JPG+JGW ?
- No problem with Paths (up to 225 chars) with ECW / SIF files ?
And if I use MAP 2011/2012, No problem ??
Thks for yours Infos, Bye, Pat
