Autocad 2012 will not load hangs on acmgd.dll

The program hangs forever at the splash screen: "Loading plug-ins... acmgd.dll"

I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit.

It was working up until recently.

Tried to repair the file through the control panel, no dice.

Also updated to SP 2 to see if that would fix it. nothing.

Tracked down the machine.configure files in the .NET directory to make the changes suggested in another fix. Still nothing.

I'm unwilling to re-install windows entirely, and reinstalling Autocad hasn't seemed to help anyone.

I've considered replacing the .dll in the directory, but would it help? and does anyone have a reliable download source?

Also - Revit seems to be suffering from the same problem.

Hi,

have you found >>>that info<<< about hangup while splashscreen showing? Try it!

The other option may be that you use the option to reset the AutoCAD-profile (to be found in Windows start-menu ==> Autodesk-section ==> AutoCAD 2012 ==> there it is)

Stupid question time: which plug-ins have you added/installed?
