Auto Dim Style

Hi,

I made a button with th following command; ^C^C_-LAYER;_Make;Bematen;;_dimlinear. When I click that button, I change automaticaly to layer 'bematen'. (measure)  This works fine.

Is it possible to change the dim style with the same click to a predefined style?

Explore -DIMSTYLE command (there is a dash in the name).

Tried that but didn't find the right formula... That's why I posted this item.

I have to enter aI tried this:

^C^C_-LAYER;_Make;Bematen;;-dimstyle;restore;Layout2;;_dimlinear

When I use this it prompts me with 'Enter a dimension style option' with the Restore option highlighted. When I click Restore, I have to choose a Dim Style. When I Escape the dimstyle goes to Layout2.

Strange...

I think there's still someting missing in the formula.

You have too many <enter> if I type it out at the command line as a test: did you test it that way first?

Sorry Dean, I don't understand what you mean. When I type dimstyle at the command line I get the dimstyme popup menu.

There must be a way to do what I want...

Haaaa! Found it!

Very simple BTW...

I first recorded a macro while changing layer and dimstyle. Then saved it under 'layout2' and added the dimlinear command like this.

^C^C_layout2;_dimlinear

Works fine!

Maybe this is useful for other people.

Bye!
