Adjusting transpareny of Text.

Hello All,
I'm new to AutoCAD (so, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before!) ... but how can I adjust the transparency of text?
e.g. I wish to place 'for discussion only' across the drawing in a large pt size, but still be able to read what is beneath the text.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Make it a gray color with percent of fade in the CTB file and in the plotter set lines to merge.

Thanks for the reply, but does this also make the text transparent on screen?
(it needs to be transparent on the screen too!)

Whatever gray color works for your screen, you can assign that.

You could make that text an xref and fade it in the OPTIONS, that way it's in the background and you can see important entities.
