I have tried IMPRINT but it didnt seem to work, what i want to do is wrap the text to the surface.

I have created a 3D text by extruding a normal text box.

Nope, plain Autocad can't wrap or fit TEXT around a curve like other programs (I know Rhino can)

Is it just Inventor that can do this then?

The problem i have is a large font requirement and a 42mm radius to fit it on, i could Imprint if i could write the text very small, but i need to use at least a 12 size font and the words have to be staggered vertically as well as horizontally.

the only way i cn think so as not to penetrate through my solid is to press/pull each individual letter to uit the olids radius.

I'm not an inventor user, you can post in inventor group for help.

Students can get Inventor for free from http://www.autodesk.com/edcommunity and use the Wrap to Face command when doing the Emboss or whatever you need.
