Does AutoCAD have a text to speech accessibility feature?  If a student has a reading disability, what are options for reading pull down menus?

Pulldown menus are pretty much obsolete: they are at best a partial intro to the features of the program.

You need to buy third party software for that ability: try before you buy as not all are good at what you seek.

Not 100% clear as to your response. In the version of AutoCad we are using at Salem CC, students appear to have to use pull down menus to navigate. Regardless, there is reading involved. Can you suggest any 3rd party vendors that work with AutoCad? I have not been able to find any. Thanks.

Despite what some may say, using pull-down menus in AutoCAD is perfectly acceptable and valid.

If you want to find out about possible ways to use Text-to-Speech with AutoCAD, try this link (assuming you haven't already):

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support

Enter "text to speech" in the Search field at the top-right of the page.  When I did this, there were several results that look promising, but I have no direct experience to share with you.

Good luck.
