When plotting and doing a 'plot preview' Acad crashes. This happens with ALL dwgs no matter which of our 2 printers is chosen. This is only happening to one computer in the office. All computers are running Windows 7 Professional with AutoCAD Civil 3d 2011. If the plot is sent without a preview everything if fine with no crash. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank-you.
Doesn't sound like this known issue;
Win7/64 bit with Acad 2011 attempting to plot or preview B size (11x17) sheets to an HP printer/plotter will cause Acad to crash.
but is it the same issue?
If so, the non-band-aid fix is to update the printer que drivers (or some driver related to the printer, not exactly sure). The band-aid fix is to create B size pdf then print that thru Adobe.
Upon further questioning of my colleague I have found out that this actually only happens when she is working in AutoCAD 2011 with Carlson Survey 2013 (carlson Software 2013, Build 130120). When she is using C3D 2011 without the Carlson Software it works fine. Her computer is the only on in the office with Carlson. I am going to go to Carlson's Discussion group and hope that they have seen this problem before.
