Mapclean is your command. Go through each step of it and you'll get the option to convert 3d polyline to 2d polyline.

Sorry, MAPCLEAN is not available in plain AutoCAD, it's only valid for AutoCAD Map 3D or AutoCAD Civil 3D.

That sounds strange to me. Have you tested that on a recent version of autocad?

MAPCLEAN was never available on plain (Vanilla) AutoCAD.

Zombie thread from 2009, yes.

Just wanted to say - search functions are a wonderful thing.

Patchy's lisp routine is still valid - it just saved me a bunch of effort.
