3D Materials - polished chrome - Acad 2011

Can anyone provide any helpful hints on how to achieve a polished, reflective finish on these machined parts (see attachment)?  I've tried all the default materials and even some of my own but can't get the results I want.  One factor I can't solve is the location for "advanced" materials in the Create Material pulldown in Materials Browser, this selection is not listed.

If you want it to look polished, I believe you will need to add lights, camera, background elements or image and render it.  Chrome doesn't look like much without the context of the elements it reflects.  Look at the ribbon render tab.
