3d Gizmo - Can we rid ourselves of it?

Good morning all,

We have recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2009 to 2010. So far it's been a struggle with the glitches and bugs within the program, even after the updates. We seem to lose our crosshairs 8-10 times daily, not a color issue but it really just disappears. we can still select things via window, but the 3d crosshair blinks and disappears from the screen. the only fix I’ve found is to quit and re-open CAD. Any thoughts?

As a group we are wondering if there is a way to make the 3dmove gizmo react the way it did in the 2009 release. The new way is cumbersome at best. these are the issues we're having with the gizmo:

The 3dmove command automatically puts the "gizmo" in the middle of the selection set, that makes it hard move multiple items. Even relocating it to an endpoint would be ok, if a little time consuming, but the gizmo decides that it's going to stretch the line rather than move it.

The 3drotate command works differently every time we use it, depending on the shape we try to rotate.

The 3dscale command doesn't ever seem to work correctly.

at this point it's not a "we need to get used to it." thing, we've tried that.... even tried to live with it, but at this point we just want it to go away or go back to how it worked in the 2009 release. is there a way to accomplish this?

thanks for your time.
