2012 Mechanical Streaking images, additional images

Hi,

I have a user that is getting what appears to be streaks on his drawings.

The video card has the latest driver.

I ask how often this happens and he states:

Almost everytime I have a large 3d drawing ..or multi 3d drawings open (which is often the case)

Does not mean free of errors, what graphic card is it? What driver is "your" latest one?

And have you verified if there exists a certified driver on the list from Autodesk >>>here<<<

Another try: what happens if you toggle the hardware-acceleration setting? (command _3DCONFIG ==> manual tune)

It's the lastest version from AMD, It's a FirePro V8750.

I did not check the list, will do it now..

I see that it is not on the list but does fall within the 7800 and 8800..

Think that should be a problem?

I search for V8750 and found it (tested now with Win7x64):

But I would first try to disable hardware acceleration, just to make sure if it's the driver or it's the geometry.

Ok, the user stated: IT MADE IT EXTREMLY SLOW AND EVENTUALLY LOCKED UP AUTOCAD. So we turned it back on.

Yep, that was expected, but was the geometry then displayed correct?

To disable the hardware acceleration should just be a test, not the final work environment. If the graphic was displayed correct with disabled hw-acc then I guess installing the driver certified at the Autodesk drivers list makes sense, I would install it then.

If the geometry was not displayed correct, even with disabled hw-acc, then check the drawing with command _AUDIT .. or copy&paste the geometry from the current drawing to a new drawing and see, if any of these steps help.

Installed the driver and the user disabled Gooch hardware shader and says that it appears to have corrected it.. He is testing... Will close this post now..
