2004 icon but 2010 program

suddenly the icons associated with Autocad have changed to the old blue 2004 icon, this is not a problem if I have 2010 running but if I try to open a drawing from an email without 2010 running it try’s to start Autocad 2004 and as the license on that program has expired starts asking for activation keys, you mite well ask why I still have 2004 on the computer, good point, but has anybody got a reason that this happens?

You started 2004, so Windows remembers that. Start 2010 and Windows will
remember to use that one instead.

Windows uses the last app you opened for DWG.

Doesn't seem to work like that, why would all the icons in all the drawing files change to blue, I think I will uninstall 2004 & 2006 (I am not ever going to use them again) and see what happens, thanks
