See screenshot after I installed the fonts: looks fine, correct?
See second attachment, how to install TTF fonts in Windows: most likely not done at the user PC or the user needs to restart AutoCAD and/or Windows.
Yes, that is how it looks on my screen but not on my coworkers.
So the install screenshot you showed, what is that?
Normally I just dump the fonts into the C, window, font folder, restart cad and good to go.
Is there another step I should be doing?
Is there something different that happens when you right click install vs. drag and drop to the fonts folder in windows?
The fonts are already on my coworkers machines...so would you suggest delete those fonts and reinstall by doing the right click method?
No alterntaives as this is the office font.
However, this morning I checked the computer after doing a reinstall of the font the 'proper' way and it appears to be working.
On another computer that was having issues in the office, it appears to open incorrectly but once you double click the attribute and fill in the necessary information it seems to go into place correctly. very weird.
I think we solved the issue...for now. I hope.
Thanks so much for the assistance.
I thought we solved it but the issue is still occuring on my coworkers computer.
I can't figure out what the heck is going on.
It's like the font is correct but the width is not.
All properties indicate the correct settings.
They have another font being used: what changed on the PC? New Profile (Windows or AutoCAD)? Look for logs in Windows, or try a system restore.
Autodesk recommended uninstall/reinstall procedures are as follows
Reinstall (for XP/Vista users): http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS75218
Ensure the user installing/uninstalling and using the product have enough rights to do so (install and reinstall as local administrator):
Unable to run AutoCAD® as a restricted user http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS1055299
Honesly, I have no clue what happened with the computer. It was fine, now not.
I am now going to check in with the IT guy since I've exhausted all other options.
Only thing is he doesn't know CAD specifically if it is an issue with that.
