I've been getting this forever. Even using different PDF writers - using
regular Adobe now, but even CutePDF does it.

However, printing it out looks fine even at full sized 36x48 sheets, so I
don't worry about it anymore.

Just tried solid hatch on a few closed polylines and polygon.
Displays the faint white lines on black solid hatches in pdf reader.
But the pdf solid hatches read as solid black shapes in Photoshop.
I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0.5.
Maybe there's a problem with Adobe Reader understanding the solid fills from AutoCAD 2007. I'm using the Map variant if that's any help.

My first post. Learned much lurking in these discussion groups.

yes, could be Acrobat Reader. i too tried in photoshop and no lines.

i recently updated to reader 7, and the problem for me only started a little while ago but can'y be sure exactly when. maybe it's version 7 doing it. i think i've probably got a disc with v.6 so i'll try uninstalling 7 and putting 6 back on.

doh, i got that totally wrong, i'm on Acrobat Reader 8. i have a copy of v.7, but as you say it happens with that, i'm not gonna bother with the above. Message was edited by: superfly

I can see these lines on close inspection in my AutoCAD drawing, although they are fainter than in the pdf.. Therefor I wonder if it is an issue with the graphics card. thoughts anyone?

If you're using the plotter "PDFCreator", try changing it to "DWG To PDF.pc3". That should remove the lines.
