Hi Paul,

If you have access to a copy of Map, the drawing cleanup tools will do this.

These tools alone are worth upgrading from AutoCAD, let alone the other
power you gain with Map.

I use gap.lsp from this site: http://www.spaug.org/LISP_Index99.Html

It does not handle all entity types but it is adequate in most cases.
