I am trying to create a page setup for my drawing sheetfile.
I go to file, page setup manager, and click new.
I get an AutoCAD Error message that says, Printer name is invalid.
When I click OK. I get the attached fatal error (fatalerror.jpg)
Additionally, if I click the plot icon and there isn't a page setup assisgned to the sheet I get this attachment (bluebeam.jpg). We do not use a bluebeam printer driver and therefore how do I reassign the setting so CAD doesn't associate with this item?
Thanks for the help!
IS the problem in one file, or all files?
What about new files?
How about INSERTing your problem file into a new file and starting fresh? The last person that used your file used bluebeam, so you got this from an outside source. PLOT settings are saved in the file in each tab, your system setup is ignored.
Thanks, I will see about doing that. Maybe it is also happening becuase the consultant that sent me the drawings is using a newer version of CAD and the translation from 2012 Civil 3d to 2007 CAD causes issues.
Another question relating to plotting.
We are working with 22"x34" sheets.
I have always learned not to create pc3 because they are temporary.
Plus I have always been able to create plot setups that use the actual driver.
In this case though, I have difficulty getting the sheet to print without creating a pc3 file.
Was that clear? Any thoughts?
Ok...back to the issue with the printer.
I started a new drawing. Even recreated all the drawings in new files.
Still when I try to create a new plot setup I get the fatal error.
Yes, the problem is in all files.
When sending the report to Autodesk I received a response saying I needed to install AutoCAD 2007 SP2.
I installed. Now, I don't get the error message but I still get a window saying my Printer is Invalid. Then when I click OK it won't close out. I click Cancel and it won't close out. I have to go to task manager and force close the program.
This is so frustrating.
What else can I try?
