My AutoCAD2009 can not start "Another program is currently using the file"

Hi Autodesk team

My AutoCAD2009 has some problem. The problem is AutoCAD2009 will be turn off automatically when we double click on start icon. And it will appear aleart message "Another program is currently using the file" as capture photo attached file.

I don't know if we remove program and then reinstall , it will be OK or not (I afraid that the request code will be changed as previously)

Could you please give me the solution to fix this problem??

Thank you in advance for the answer.

Is this a new problem on an existing PC that used to work just fine? Then use Windows System Restore and go back a month or two when it all worked.

Pendean

Thank you very much for reply.

This is the new problem on existing PC and I can't restore as your solution due to that PC didn't set automatic backup.

Could you please let me know the exact problem and also other solution??

Your help will be much appreciate.

Hi,

>> Could you please let me know the exact problem and solution?

The exact problem is known to you, you see it.

If anyone would know the "exact solution" I'm sure we would have told you that. But at least I have not seen that type of issue yet. So we can do suggestions/ask questions to come more close and hopefully find then the source of the problem.

In the background in your screenshot there is another messagebox with a C++ Runtime Error, have you tried to install the C++ Runtime Libraries newly?

Does the same error occur if you login to your system with another user-account (having admin rights)?

>> I can't restore as your solution due to that PC didn't set automatic backup.

Can you then tell us what you have installed since AutoCAD run well last time?

Hi,

I don't know why I have not mentioned it yet: can you run a repair-install with AutoCAD? (as administrator, disabled antivirus-software).

Hi,

>> I try to repair/reinstall AutoCAD2009

Did you do a >>>clean uninstall<<< before starting the new installation?

As the first problem was a C++ library it might help to reinstall all beginning with the OS, but I guess nobody can guarantee that this will help, because something killed the C++ libs and maybe other files too, so that might happen again if you run the same installations again.

Good luck, - alfred -

Hi -alfred-

              Thanks for prompt response.

Did you do a >>>clean uninstall<<< before starting the new installation?

We follow the Autodesk instruction as this link :

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=2887771&linkID=9240617

Is it clean enough ?? Please help to advise the other solution or should we format the harddisk ??

Hi,

your link is the same as mine, so yes, it's "clean enough".

>> Please help to advise the other solution or should we format the harddisk ??

It's not really necessary as long as you start with installation of the OS into a different partition.

Even better: I would spent a new harddisk so in case of troubles you can restart from the old harddisk to look about files/settings/... you need from the old system..
