Measuring dimensions in 3D survey

Hello

I am a land surveyor.  I have experience using AutoCad but mostly in 2D.  I measured the inside of an apartment using a total station.  The results are YXZ coordinates which I imported into AutoCad .  I then connected the points to create a 3D drawing. The purpose of the survey is to design closets, cabinets etc. so that they will fit into existing spaces.  Since this is a survey and not a design, the walls are not parallel, thicknesses vary etc.  My problem is to dimension the drawing, say between the center of 2 walls.  I Imagine that I have to create some sort plane surface from the measured points, but have had no success.

The drawing file is attached .   The measured points are on layer 0 and currently turned off.  I am using AutoCad 2007.  Do I need a newer version to do what I want?

Thank you

John

Maybe MEASUREGEOM with newer versions.

You can try FIELD command and use Length to label the lines.
