Hello,

I want to devide a line of unknown length in f.e. sections of equal
length. (example line is 397 mm and I need 6 equal sections of 66.16
mm)

Can someone help me?

Greetings Paul

Use the MEASURE command.

MEASURE > select object > put in distance

Same is true for DIVIDE except instead of the length you input the number of
pieces.

These two commands will also insert blocks instead of points at the
determined distances. Explore them in the Help File.

Are you really needing the answer to that question or are you just pulling everyones chain? Type divide at the command line, and input the number of segements. It will place a node at the division points, but will leave the entity intact.

You might want to consider getting some rudimentry
and only something a complete beginner would need

It just doesn't make sense to spend \$3-4K on very
complicated CADD software, while investing nothing
in learning how to use it.

Cause basic CAD training would of explained how to set a point style to see
the node.
But I agree to cut the OP some slack, with all the 3rd party add-ons and
verticals a lot of users don't know the simple commands from the R-9 days.
