COMPRESSION SPRINGS

Does anyone know of a good subroutine that will draw accurate 3D models of
closed and ground compression springs that works in 2008. There used to be
one that worked in 2006.

Thanks

There was no such thing in R2006: what 3rd party add-on or routine did you
use then? It should work in 2008 unless it was specifically compiled for
2006.

Elaborate, provide more details about your 2006 choices.

Have you tried the HELIX command and then swept a circle along its path?
I hope my info was useful, but if by some odd chance it actually solved your issue, feel free to mark your post as "Accept as Solution". Thanks! :smileyhappy:

Doesn't AutoCAD Mechanical have this feature?

We are not in the Mech discussion area though and the OP did not specify.

That is exactly the problem Dean - the routine I had was compiled to work in
2006 and does not work in 2008. I think it came for EMT Software which no
longer supports it. I would like to find the author and ask him to modify
it so it will run on 2008. It worked very well.

Thanks for the response

Inquire in the Customization area, provide them with sample dwg files and
perhaps the name of the app/routine from the 3rd party. They might just have
the answer you seek.
