Re: Can't Purge Text Styles

One more comment... I think that Autodesk should allow for unused tablestyles to be eliminated from a drawing like this automatically where specific items have been chosen (just the few polylines and one piece of attribute text) for WBLOCKing. I didn't copy the drawing that contained the tablestyles. If I had done that, I would expect the tablestyles to remain. In this situation, I even WBLOCKed the WBLOCK and the tablestyles remained. That doesn't seem practical or right to have to manually delete tablestyles in situations like this where there are no tables. When you use the PURGE command, there should be an option to purge EVERYTHING in the drawing that isn't being used. As you can see, there were no tables in my little drawing.

But that table style was current. If it is current, it will
come along for the ride just as the current textstyle
and dimension style does.

Okay. I'll have to check to make sure the STANDARD tablestyle is the current one before doing a PURGE. Thanks again for the help!

Found this on another site posed by someone named "aewatson" 8th Jun 2011, 12:54 am

Here is how you can delete both the 'Legend' table style and textstyle:

    - Type TABLESTYLE
    - Right-click and rename 'Legend' to something else.
    - Close the dialog box.
    - Retype TABLESTYLE
    - Delete the renamed table style
    - Delete the text style (now that it is no longer referenced)

This worked for me.
