Hello everyone,
can i know is it autocad can save at microsoft word? I just know autocad can save as PDF, but if at microsoft word, can be edit?
Hi,
AutoCAD is no word-processing software like MS Word.
MS Word is no CAD application like AutoCAD.
These 2 programs are so different that it does not make sense to save data for the other system as the other system will not be able to handle or edit that objects (e.g. MS Word can't handle 3D objects or dimension objects, on the other suide AutoCAD can't handle floating text through multiple pages).
So the short answer is: NO, you can't save a drawing as DOCx
The option you have to get some geometry parts to MS Word is using the Windows built in COPY & PASTE.

Yes. You can copy and paste the objects into MS Word as an OLE object.
Just select all objects in the AutoCAD file, then press Ctrl-C
Switch to MS Word, press Ctrl-V
You can save and send the .doc file around. But to edit the pasted drawing, people need have AutoCAD installed on their computer.
