Burst not working with multiple drawings open

I'm experiencing this strange quirk lately. I have a couple of fairly large drawings I'm working in. If I have one of them open, and try to use the BURST command, it works fine. However, once I have the other file open at the same time, the BURST command hangs indefinitely. Another strange thing is that I can hit ESC and it will cancel the command and I can continue working. It doesn't crash. However, the final oddity is that after this happens, when I select objects in the drawing, the grips appear but the lines do not appear dashed.

Anyone else experiencing something like this? Any ideas on how to get BURST to work correctly in this scenario?

I am having the same problem!  But unfortunately have not discovered the solution... Any help would be much appreciated!
