I tried that, it just takes you to the 2010 Trial Version.

AFAIK, Autodesk doesn't keep older versions to download once the new version
is out. Just like you can't purchase an older version from an Autodesk
retailer once a new version is out.

You could always buy one of the books that include the trial software on a DVD. Ellen Finkelstein's " AutoCAD 2009 & AutoCAD LT 2009 Bible" comes to mind. I think you can still get a copy on Amazon.

You could always download 2010 and set it to look earlier release.
