How do you insert an architectural unit drawing into a decimal unit drawing and have them then be the same scale?

If the Architectural unit drawing was originally drawn with the intention
that 1 architectural unit = 1 inch
and the Decimal unit drawing was originally drawn with the intention that 1
decimal unit = 1 inch,
then make sure in the Units command under Insertion scale, the selection is
set to Inches and you're set to go.

But if the Decimal unit drawing was originally drawn with the intention that
1 decimal unit = 1 foot,
then make sure in the Units command under Insertion scale, the selection is
set to Feet and you're set to go.
