activation code for autocad 2008

i want to re-install my autocad 2008 but the activation code is missing. i don't now were it is. the serial number of the product is xxx-xxxxxxxxx

can you please let me now the activation code so that i can use my autocad cause i really need it for my studies. thanks in advance..

Is your Serial number 000-00000000? It does not seem to be a valid serial number. You need to have a valid serial number to activate your license.

I have a Windows XP computer and I need to upgrade it to Windows 10.

I have the original license of Autocad LT 2008 , is this version working on Windows 10?

I lost the installation DVD, where can I download that?

Downloads are not available for products outside our support range.
You can try to check with an Autodesk Authorized Reseller if they have a spare copy.

I purchased AutoCAD 2012 and it's been working great for at least two years. I upgraded to windows 10 and sense it was an electronic download I don't have a CD but I do have the serial # stuff. After I converted to windows 10, the AutoCAD won't upload because it wants the "activation codes".
Well, I have no clue what they are. And my reseller isn't around anymore, and I think AutoCAD should HONOR and help me get my AutoCAD back working. I paid good money for this,i've got email confirmations where I bought itand I need help.

And another thing, the stuff is not cheap. It's very expensive. So it's not a joke just to have a comment or two at your serial number is not valid.

First thing.. AutoCAD 2012 is not supported under Windows 10 and even though you may get it installed doesn't mean it will work.  This version is old/retired and no longer supported by Autodesk.

Also just because you have a serial #, doesn't mean its active anymore.  It all depends on the history of this serial #.  So contact and see what they say.

Thank you for your post. This is true, the operating system is considered unsupported for the product.

You can try it out but you may not get it to work on such a new operating system. Here is a link to the system requirements.

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

How did you download AutoCAD 2008?  This product is 10 years old and retired.

Also users don't send other users serial #.  They come from Autodesk when you properly obtained this product 10 years ago. 

I know its only an email address, never share any sensitive information here such as email address, serial #, subscription account number, business address, and phone/cell #. This is a world wide peer to peer network and such items should not be posted here for security reasons.

Since August 2019, Autodesk is no longer activating products from 2010 and older and will now be activating products in line with the product lifecycle.

This means you either need to upgrade or unfortunately change product.
