Typically at my company we rotate our drawing orientation under the Projects - Drawing Setup - Orientation. Rotate the drawing to a known basis of bearings. Then we label the boundary and the bearings are rotated to match the basis of bearings without having to rotate the drawing in model space. Just reciently my labels havne't been holding the orientation. So when I add a static or dynamic label the bearing reads as though my orientation is due north. BUT, when I loook at the line priperties, the bearing is correct, as it has held the orientation. Any help with this?
LDD2008 has a bug in labeling dynamic and static. I found out if you go to project and delete the lock, it will work for awhile and then mess up again later.
There is no fix.
yeah, that becomes a major time suck when you have to QC the same lines mulitiple times. I'll keep an eye on it. We have 5 computers with 2008 LDD and no one else has this issue. Only thing is there was a guy who used to work here who originally set up the computers and network. My computer is the only one he didn't set up - I bought the computer and installed everything since he left (plus it's Windows 7 - which means I have to run virtual XP to run anything below ACAD 2010 - and everyone else is running regular XP), so I end up with all the problems. And no one here know's anything. Fun stuff.
I shown this bug to our Authorized Reseller, they said, oh well, it's a bug.
If this happened again, you can see if this will happen to your drawing. Right click on the line and dynamic label will label 0 degrees, but the LABEL pull down menu, will label it correctly.
