Spiral, Coil, Helix?

Does any body know if it's possible to and how to draw a coil i.e. spring in 3D?

Thanks Neil,

I've tried it an it works a treat!! You don't know of a similar lisp file that allows you to specify the pitch distance instead of the No. of turns though do you?

Looks good but I hate to be a pain!!! I'd like to be able to draw a poly line instead of the shape produced so I can extrude an item along it's path, is that possible?

Use zero as coil width and you can use as an extrusion path
