Newer AEC objects will be disallowed from participating in this operation

I am working in AutoCAD LT 06, but often work with files from our subs that use older and newer versions. I had issues with the "ARX ERROR: eDuplicateKey" and installed the hotfix and it seemed to fix the issue for a day, but now when I try to copy and past anything within the drawing i get the AutoCad LT message "This application has detected a mixed version of AEC objects participating in this operation. Newer AEC objects will be disallowed from participating in this operation."

I have been searching through all the discussion topics on this problem, installed the hotfix's and each object enablers and still I have the same problem.

I am at a stand still, I cant work at all with this file if I cannot copy and paste and there has been a tremendous amount of revisions to it, so I cant start all over.

Any help to get around this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You will need to upgrade LT2006 to LT2007 or higher, or ask the file senders
to use AECTOACAD command to remove such items from their files for your
older version to operate correctly.

Under the current circumstances; I have modified the original file sent to me heavily. For our sub to resend using AECTOACAD, would mean I would have to start over with my revisions. Is there not any other way around this?
I do appreciate the help and am certainly not reluctant to take this step.. but hopefully there is some other way.

Thanks again

If you are willing to live with the limitations, I do know exporting to
R12DXF will kill the problem.

In some files, WBLOCK out the model content fixes it too.

-EXPORTTOAUTOCAD works well. Not sure if you have this with your version.

I know this is an old post but it may help someone, who knows!  I have been encountering the same problem at our office except using mixed versions of autocad (2013 and 2011).  A work around to this message / issue is  bringing in an object into our drawing by insterting a block/object rather than copy/paste, or drag/drop an object.

If you're in the design library trying to drag/drop an object when this message appears, than simply right click the object and choose "INSERT."

Try this...I hope it helps.
